Ours is a Loving, Liberating,

and Life-Giving God

Prayer for the New School Year

Heavenly Father, unseen Companion of our life, we pray in the Name of your Son who so loves children, that you might bless all students, teachers, school administrators and employees at the start of a new school year and may your blessing be upon them throughout the year. May this fresh stage of their journey be safe. Strengthen them in faith and eager expectancy - with courage and energy to accept new opportunities and grow through enriching experiences. Grant that those who teach and those who learn may find you to be the source of all truth and that speaking truth in love for building up gives praise to you and honors the dignity of every human being. Build them up, O Lord, in mind, body, and spirit to be righteous and compassionate imitators of Christ our Lord. All this we pray in your most Holy Name. Amen.
