My Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,
This Sunday, April 13th, is Palm/Passion Sunday. I hope you'll attend and take away some blessed palms to be displayed all year long in your home.
On Sunday you'll hear a jarring juxta-positioning of Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem at the beginning of the week and His crucifixion at the end of that same week. We'll then focus on the battle-hardened Roman Centurion who was with Jesus on that fateful Friday - who watched Jesus lovingly look upon the angry mob that called for His execution as He stood silent before Pilate, refusing to argue or contradict. We'll focus on the Roman Centurion who watched as Jesus was scourged, tortured with a Crown of Thorns, and ridiculed. We'll focus on the Roman Centurion who watched as Jesus was crucified and suffered on the Cross, who stood in the darkness that afternoon and heard Jesus last words. We'll focus on the battle-hardened Roman Centurion who got to know Jesus on that fateful day.
Join us as we begin Holy Week and the final leg of our journey toward Easter.
In Christ's Love,
Mark Andrew+
