My Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

The Easter Season is winding down. May 29th is the Feast of the Ascension when Jesus ascended to God in heaven, taking with Him our humanity into the Godhead. Think about it - taking our humanity into the Godhead. There is no clearer indication of how much God loves us - all of us.

Easter will formally come to end on June 8th with the Feast of Pentecost - when we celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Church. We are thus empowered and embolden to work for change in the interest of love, mercy, and justice; for God's Kingdom is not just some otherworldly phenomenon. Remember, in the Lord's Prayer, we ask that God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Working for the realization of the Kingdom and effectuating God's will here on earth means rejecting the sinful and selfish ways of the world. It means change and conversion of life.

People generally resist change, but - as People of the Resurrection, as Easter People - we're all about change and transformation.

Remember that our God continually advises, do not fear. Through change, God creates and renews. As people of faith, we are to put our trust in God into action, for God lovingly brings forth Good. So, do not fear. Embrace the change and the opportunity for transformation.

In Christ's Love & Peace,
Mark Andrew+

"Anxiety weights down the human heart, but a good word cheers it up" (Proverbs 12:25).
